N-power issues a stern Warning!

N-power, a Nigerian Government social initiative programme aimed at combating the high level of unemployment in the country has today warned sternly against those that would want to use the initiative as secondary source of income.

In the report, it calls on those that are already in this "greedy" venture to begin a progress of exiting the program before they are caught.

"If you are employed and apply for N-Power as a second source of income, you will be caught." the statement states.

In effort to combat this greedy attitude, it offers a means of exit via its Twitter's handle, stating,

"If you will like to exit the N-Power programme now before you are caught, tweet on this thread."

Meanwhile, about reports that the Scheme has embark on a secret recruitment exercise, the statement debunked such as "nonsensical". As reported in Vanguard newspapers  yesterday, that interested applicants should forward their information via an email to be enlisted in the exercise, the spokeman also decribed such reports as "mere fallacy" reaffirming that N-power maintains very high transparency and fairness. "Every Nigerian deserves a fair shot in this exercise and saboteurs will be duly prosecuted" the statement added.

Anambra Polls: Aspirants to Pay N5.5 Million for Ticket

The United Progressive Party (UPP) on Tuesday in Abuja announced that its nomination form for the Nov. 18 governorship election in Anambra would cost N5 million. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Ogbuehi Dike, who made this known, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that each aspirant would also pay N500, 000 for "Expression of Interest Form". Dike said that the sale of expression of interest form would commence on Friday, while nomination forms would be available for purchase on Monday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. He said the sale of forms would be followed by the screening of candidates for the primaries, which would hold on Aug. 19, 2017. Femi Fani-kayode calls APC "Satan"

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation has reacted to the All Progressives Congress (APC) decision, to set up on a committee on restructuring Nigeria. Fani-Kayode, writing on his Twitter page, compared the move to "Satan setting up a committee on reconciliation with God". He tweeted: "The APC setting up a commitee on restructuring Nigeria is like satan setting up a commitee on reconciliation with God. They do NOT want it." The APC has set-up a 10-man committee to articulate the party’s position on Nigeria's restructuring.
