President Buhari Set to Return - Aide

After months of increasing rumours and political tension, preparations are now underway for the return of President Muhammadu Buhari who has been on medical leave in United Kingdom since May 7.

E-conner garthered yesterday that the Presidency has put all staff in Aso Rock on standby.

The aide to the President’s wife said: “The information just reached me now from the wife of the president, that everything is set for the return of Mr President to Nigeria. ‘Already, some of the president’s family members and security aides of madam (Aisha Buhari) have just returned from London. ‘The wife of the president may either leave London on Wednesday or decide to come home with the president anytime soon. We have been told to be on standby because Mr President is returning any time soon this week.” Also some staff including security operatives, said they got a directive, asking them to be on standby for the president’s return. The staff, who spoke said: “We were only instructed to be ready for the return of the president at any moment. No specific date has been mentioned to us,” one of the staff said.

Tillerson tells Lavrov: Russia's meddling led to mistrust!

The US has cautiously raised concern over Russia's alleged interference in last year's presidential election and its effect on relations between the two nations. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Monday that he told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Moscow's meddling in the vote created "serious mistrust" between the two countries. At Last, FG offers Biafra to Nnamdi Kanu

It was gathered that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, disclosed that the Federal  Government offered him Biafra Republic while in Prison with only the five South East States as the component parts but he rejected it. According to him, he rejected it because that did not constitute the complete Biafra, saying that he told them that he wanted a Biafra with Rivers and Benue States inclusive. The IPOB leader also claimed that he was offered an oil block and mansion in Dubai aimed at making him to abandon the cause but that he rejected them and insisted on the actualization of Biafra.
