Elizabeth Warren mocks President Trump's Twitter frenzy

OPINION: As today's political rivalry thickens, a US senator Elizabeth Warren is leading a charge against her chief political foe, President Donald J. Trump in her comment about the President's use of social media to communicate with the people.

She pokes, " We don’t know who is going to have the next big idea in this country, but they’re probably going to need to get online to do it."

This is coming in the wake of the allegations and ongoing investigations into November 8 presidential election in which the Democratic party accuses President Trump of colluding with the Russian government against Hillary Clinton.

The election which saw Donald J Trump winning on a landslide has not only stood as the most controversial, but also the most politicized.

While some democratic Senators nurture the impeachment measures, others are pressing hard to find any smoking gun in the ongoing investigation about the alleged collusion with Russia's Vladimir Putin .

Anambra Polls: Aspirants to Pay N5.5 Million for Ticket

The United Progressive Party (UPP) on Tuesday in Abuja announced that its nomination form for the Nov. 18 governorship election in Anambra would cost N5 million. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Ogbuehi Dike, who made this known, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that each aspirant would also pay N500, 000 for "Expression of Interest Form". Dike said that the sale of expression of interest form would commence on Friday, while nomination forms would be available for purchase on Monday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. He said the sale of forms would be followed by the screening of candidates for the primaries, which would hold on Aug. 19, 2017. Femi Fani-kayode calls APC "Satan"

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation has reacted to the All Progressives Congress (APC) decision, to set up on a committee on restructuring Nigeria. Fani-Kayode, writing on his Twitter page, compared the move to "Satan setting up a committee on reconciliation with God". He tweeted: "The APC setting up a commitee on restructuring Nigeria is like satan setting up a commitee on reconciliation with God. They do NOT want it." The APC has set-up a 10-man committee to articulate the party’s position on Nigeria's restructuring. In a terse statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ruling party noted that since “the concept of restructuring has assumed different meanings across the six geo-political zones of the country following the renewed agitations, it was important to establish a common meaning that will be acceptable to all."
