According to report, US Middle East Envoy announced moments ago that Israel and the Palestinian Authority have reached a water sharing deal. The Isreali Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi and Mazin Ghunaim, who is the head of the Palestinian Water Authority, were also present when the deal was made known by Jason Greenblatt, a US Middle East representative. According to reports, the deal will provide the West Bank region and Gaza with about 32.9 billion litres of water annually.

US State Secretary Rex Tillerson has said Washington is not trying to topple Kim Jong-Un's regime in North Korea, but Pyongyang must halt its nuclear missile programme. "We do not seek a regime change. We do not seek the collapse of the regime. We do not seek an accelerated reunification of the peninsula," he said during a press conference in Washington on Tuesday. "We do not seek an excuse to send our military north of the 38th parallel. And we're trying to convey that to the North Koreans. We are not your enemy. We're not your threat, but you are presenting an unacceptable threat to us, and we have to respond." Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe on Wednesday revived the Islamic and Christian Preaching Control Committees in effort  to regulate preaching activities across the state. Gaidam made this known when he received Dr Jeremiah Gado, the President of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), who paid him a courtesy visit in Damaturu. "This is in conformity with Section 3 (1) and (3) of the Yobe State Religious Preaching Control Edict, 1994. "The purpose of the edict is to regulate preaching and ensure that only authorised persons are allowed to preach in mosques, churches and other public places, to avoid the breakdown of public peace."
