Indonesia renames South China Sea

JUST IN: During a daily briefing by China's Foreign Ministry on Friday, China slams the Indonesia's claims of the North Natuna Sea as "not conducive" and "makes no sense at all". The change of name which was done by the Government of Indonesia and which according to China, risks intensifying the conflict in the East China Sea, was met by a statement from the Indonesia government reinstating its position.

"South China Sea refers to a clear geographical zone, which has been widely recognized and accepted by the international community. The so-called change of name is not conducive to the efforts to the international standardization of the name of places," spokesperson for the ministry Geng Shuang made the remarks at a daily Press briefing on Friday 14.
